Enjoying the Raspberries
Early in the morning. I'm out picking raspberries for breakfast, dropping them into one of those little green plastic fruit baskets. And what is this? something greener catches my eye--a leaf, maybe? And then I see what I am looking at: two beetles celebrating life, locked together in beetle bliss. When spooked, they scurry, but slowly, as they must move as one. Eventually I put them back in the berry patch, and when I look back a few minutes later, they are gone. Another strange garden encounter, right time, right place. And very excellent berries with my homemade granola.
