Aka the Fairey Swordfish which sank a greater tonnage of Axis shipping than any other Allied aircraft during the war and contributed greatly to the sinking of the Bismarck in 1942.
The Swordfish remained in front-line service until V-E Day (hence the D-Day stripes on this aircraft) having outlived some of the aircraft intended to replace it.
