The Enemy
This little black cat has been turning up in the garden every day for some time now. At first it would disappear the moment I appeared but it’s become quite brazen now. I wouldn’t mind it visiting if it were not for the fact that it hides in the shrubs, waiting to pounce on the birds. I haven’t seen Mr or Mrs Blackbird for some time now, and I found a large pile of pigeon feathers yesterday, though I think that was more likely to have been the Sparrowhawk. It even had a go at me the other day when I was weeding; I think it was attracted by the movement of the plants. A grey, damp, windy day of only 13 degrees.
Thank you for your kind stars and hearts for yesterday’s village festival collage.
