The last light at dusk over Minchinhampton Common

I looked up from my desk once again and the nearly horizontal evening light of midsummer was illuminating the top of the common on the far side of the valley. It was 9-30pm. 

I first noticed the sun's rays highlighting the house in the middle foreground, in the hamlet of Thrupp

An hour earlier I'd liked the light too, but in comparison there are great differences. Have a look at the 'Extra' for the same view at 8-30pm.
