Lady and the Spud

Spent all morning at the allotment to beat the forecast rain. Lots of wee things to do to keep me happily pottering about. Massacred quite a few slugs, practiced my how-far-can-I- throw a snail technique (I know, they find their way back!), spotted this ladybird among the potatoes, hoed and weeded, planted more lettuce and spinach, picked some asparagus, picked loads of strawberries of all shapes and sizes, staked newly emerging peas and beans, headed home. The rain was still holding off but that was enough for now. Will be back when the rain stops.
