Charlotte Evelyn

My brand-new granddaughter, born in Canberra shortly before midnight. She and my daughter-in-law, Sarah, are "doing well"; my son, Andrew, is beaming non-stop; and William and James are thrilled to have a wee sister. God is good.

I must confess, however, that the picture is not mine but was taken by Mummy. It will be the weekend before Mrs Dominie and I can be in Canberra for those important first cuddles.
