Well I never….

Thought I’d buy a pair of shoe trees. But I’m advised that my new walking boots will last longer if they are put in after a wet walk to straighten the leather prior to re-waxing. This is so that the creases in the leather are smoothed out and thus doesn’t split on the crease line. Who knew - might be true I suppose!
