Meet Bertie

Bertie has been with us for a little over a year. He’s a 5 year old rescue greyhound, our 4th.

It wasn’t love at first sight for me and Bertie isn’t an instant cuddly sort of character. He demands his own space to be respected more-so than any of our 3 previous hounds. It has been a steady process of building trust with each other.

Sensitive and in need of confidence boosting, I’ve realised that Bertie sets the pace and we follow. I have been praising him for his good behaviour, calmness, his good heart and the development of our relationship. He responds well and shows more affection.

He has started coming in for a nuzzle and a cuddle when back from his walks while I am taking my shoes off.

He deserves recognition for his progress so here it is!

We are in it for the long haul and I will provide more content in celebration of his soul.
