Foxglove

My niece invited me over for a meal last night, and to stay over until this morning. We had a lot to chat about. I walked down with her into the centre of Chester this morning - her house is only a 15 minute walk from the cathedral. She had a hair appointment first thing - then was meeting up with friend travelling from London to Liverpool, their day ending at the Taylor Swift concert at Anfield. I meanwhile wanted to visit the cathedral and light a candle for J, which I did.

I also tor the first time took a guided tour up the cathedral tower. Three of us, including the guide, exploring parts of the cathedral the public do not usually see. It was fascinating.

Its foxglove season, and there were plenty around the building, so the image is just that, taken at a low angle looking up with the cathedral tower as a backdrop.
