37. Wearing

Hubby was about to slip his shoes on in order to cycle off to buy a drink when he discovered this guy nesting in his shoe. By the time I had dug out my camera he had hopped on to the toe. Good job hubby spotted him- a lucky escape for them both. I feel that toads on toes could become a 'thing'. The way to wear your shoes this summer, accessorised by a grumpy toad. Toad didn't agree. He soon hopped off for a little adventure around the corner of the tent. He didn't want to leave though. We ended up getting the camp-site people involved because we didn't know where to put him. Turns out there is a lake hiding behind the trees at the back of the site, and there are in fact multitudes of toads on site. We were warned of the dangers of banging in tent pegs without checking for toads first. I don't think any have been impaled, thankfully, but some have been trapped under groundsheets. Poor little fellas.
