Nothing like a blueberry
A long day of little things. At the doctors we discussed my rising A1C and what to do about it. As some may know, it is common for a type 2 diabetic's body to get used to a drug and thus it no longer works. That happened to the first drug i took and it is happening to the one I am on now. She upped the dose to the max and with diet and exercise we will see where that goes. The drug she wants to put me on is not covered by my insurance and I can't afford nearly $1000 a month that it would cost. A side note - my insurance would cover insulin - but that would require me to take 30 unpaid days off of work to make sure I am stable on it. When I was diagnosed, I had 2 months off as that is what it took to stabilize me. As a driver, there are few drugs available to me so...
A few more "finals".. I found out my mom's state park pass expires next month, the last likely earthquake insurance payment was made and that my parents Costco card - that they have had over thirty years - is about to expire. In the scheme of things not a big deal but still to me another chapter closing.
Looking forward to seeing my mom tomorrow
