While on my runs

Almost unseen amongst the leaves

Mr H came to the A-Frame this morning to help me with some tasks. Actually he was here to do what I no longer feel relaxed about.  Getting up on the garage roof to sweep off months of leaves and twigs and branches, and clearing the gutters. He worked fast, and an hour and a half later we stopped for lunch with everything off the roof, and the gutters clear.

I filled the wheel barrow three times with what had been removed. The first load went into the compost bin, and the other two formed a compost heap adjacent to the bin.

Later in the afternoon I went on a jog with the Pentax. I saw two Kereru. Both were too back-lit. Just after trying for a photo of the second Kereru, I saw two Eastern rosellas flyover the road and settled into two adjacent trees. Thinking I could see where one of the rosellas was I took a quick photo, and went on to complete the circuit.

My partial red/green colour blindness initially caused me to see only the red head. When I had enlarged the photo, the full bird was seen.
