Elbows’ birthday
An early start to get presents opened before MightyMouse left for school.
Dot.T arrived and we went for a dog walk in Oakwood Park, leaving the limping birthday boy in the cafe, whilst Dot.T and I went off exploring ponds and fields.
This park just happens to have a bridge over a railway line that we used to stand on every visit with all the children, waiting for trains so that we could wave. The drivers always tooted and waved back so we had to do a trip down memory lane.
Lunch out, introducing a favourite cafe to Elbows. He then went off to limp his way through some nets with DougsJB and a friend from church.
And later, a takeaway at PuddleDucks and DougsJB’s flat, where we all got a cuddle with the DiddyOne who remains gorgeous even when she’s crying. For Elbows benefit, she was changed into an Arsenal onesie! ;-/
DougsJB had organised an incredible gift for his daddy. It was a book he’d written and got printed about his Grandad, Elbows father, who the rest of us never got to meet. The book is a collection of stories (from my MIL) and his talks. It’s awesome.
