Fledgeling
Whitethroat, Sylvia communis
This afternoon, I took a walk along the coastal path between West Wemyss and East Wemyss in Fife. I started out by looking for abstracts on the few boats still ashore around the harbour before heading East. I thought I might find some common blue butterflies - I didn't. But. . .
I was fortunate to be alerted by some chirps that birds were nearby, so I stood still and watched. There were two young still with their yellow gapes but they didn't stay in one place long so difficult to get a good shot. This was about the best of the bunch.
