Almost monochrome

A thin slither of colour in the sky this morning, as I walked beside the Avon-Heathcote Estuary. We are getting close to the solstice, so in a few weeks time days will get longer again. I don't mind the extra sleep at present, induced by limited day light. However, I'm glad that I don't spend winter at higher latitudes where the days are really short.
