A copper beech
And a castle. Princes Street gardens were closed first thing; there was the usual pond on the lower garden path, but no obvious reason why the rest of it was shut. Went to the Castle Terrace market; the chocolate vendor I was hunting wasn't there, bought a big piece of aged Corra Linn cheese (Errington cheese makers from Lanark).
Out in the early evening to walk around the town. A dry day, with occasional sunshine, 17C high.
