First dahlia

Mind you this one is a bit of an outlier as it’s from one that overwintered in the raised bed and came back strongly early on.  I think it’s Sam Hopkins that flowers well and is very tough.  Anyway - that gladdens the heart as so far deer don’t seem interested in them.  Latest casualty is the little flowering currant I found a perfect place for - not eaten but the bark rubbed off so one side has died back. 

Went to London and had my hair done at Liberty - bought a little thing in the sale but then came back quite soon.   Once I got home it was raining and raining so I didn’t get to go in the garden.  

Fish supper and another episode of Rebus - still a bit dull!  Am watching Silo (Apple) on the train at the moment as it is relevant to something we’re doing.
