SL arrived just b fore 10 and we set off to walk to a he rugby club meeting JS en route. The vintage fair was already busy when we got there. We looked around the outside stalls first in case of rain later and then went into the marquee. I was tempted with a few things but didn’t buy - neither did J. SL bought a chair to reupholster and I saw a box of assorted Spode Christmas tree China which I know my SiL collects. After several messages and a phone call she decided she wanted it. J decided to go back for her car so we could get everything in - it started to pour with rain almost as soon as she left. She couldn’t get anywhere close to the venue due to the volume of cars so we started to walk up the lane- getting very wet of course! She had found a parking space at the top so we loaded everything into the car , dropped it back at J’s and walked round the corner for some very tasty lunch. Fortunately there was plenty if space for dripping umbrellas! J drove us back to my house , S went home and the rain stopped so I hung the washing out, went to the supermarket and did a couple of inside things. Suddenly realised the sky was a very menacing shade of grey and the temperature had dropped so I quickly took the half dry washing off the line as it poured with rain again . We had several thunder claps too but no lightening. The rain did ease off a little but it was still falling when I went to bed. I am so fed up with this!
