Despite a very good forecast the morning started off very grey and overcast with cloud base at about a 1000ft. The less than ideal conditions and with me feeling very groggy from some hayfever pills I had taken we decided to wander around the old mine workings of the Molwyns instead of heading up into the cloud.
I love wandering around the old mine workings trying to piece together what was going on and looking for old artefacts. There also great places for wild-flowers and nesting birds.
As we started to head back the clouds parted and some lucky people where going to have a fine afternoon up in the hills.
