A Different View

We were off southwards to Sheffield this morning to take part in an urban orienteering event around the Walkley and Langsett areas of the city.  Tony wasn't impressed with his course but I enjoyed mine and finished in 12th place out of 75 on my course, the fourth women.  I'll take that.

The assembly/download was in the garden of the Florist Pub and it was a great sociable spot with us catching up with some orienteering friends.  Then, as the rain arrived, we returned to the car and turned for home.

I love these bright, longer evenings where I can just potter outside, chat with a neighbour doing the same, gather in the washing, watch the birds on their last feedings.  The village below was quiet, was there some football on........

My blip is of the new view now that the elder tree has gone.  It will take some time to grow used to it.  I keep looking out of the kitchen window to check on the birds in the tree......
