Dipping Her Toes
We were up early this morning for our journey to Northumberland. Mr P and I had agreed not to do any dog sits for a while but when Nathaneal (great host) asked us to look after Poppy (my favourite dog) for about 10 days, I couldn’t say no.
After saying our goodbyes to Nathaneal, we took Poppy for a walk on Embleton Bay (managed to dodge the heavy showers) before having a Father’s Day lunch at The Ship (very good) in Low Newton. We caught the tail end of the Alnmouth Arts Festival in the afternoon, but by then it was constant rain. We dried out back at the vicarage and watched the England game, before son no 1 and his girlfriend caught the last train back to Edinburgh. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them this weekend.
