Bourton on the Water

We now live only 40 minutes from Bourton on the Water, the Venice of the Cotswalds. It's another glorious summers day in England so we decided to pop there for lunch thinking, naively as it turned out, that it would be relatively quiet on a week day before the school holidays have begun.
We pulled into the car park to find 25 coaches and about 200 cars parked up.... the place was buzzing! Not quite the romantic visit we had anticipated but a lovely jaunt and a very nice lunch nonetheless.
