14 Years Ago Today

I can't believe I've been retired now for 14 years.  It seems like only yesterday that I was planning lessons, washing paintbrushes, (oh so many paintbrushes) and hanging the Art Fair, an annual event each June.  I just love this drawing of me with my "art cart" (many years I had no art room).  I've kept this drawing for 32 years.  By parting gift was this lovely stained-glass piece.  For me, teaching was not a job, it was a calling, and I loved every minute of it but all that said, I'm so glad it is in the rearview mirror.   It is wonderful to look back and remember though.
