Kiel’s Den
We drove to Upper Largo and walked in Keil’s Den this morning. There was lots of cheery birdsong, a wonderful variety of trees, the sound of the river, and the scents of wild roses, honeysuckle and a lingering hint of wild garlic. A feast for the senses.
At one point a young Roe buck almost leapt from the field onto the path we were on, but made a quick detour back to the field and crossed our path ahead. Amber didn’t spot him, but Geordie’s face was a picture. I think that’s definitely his closest encounter with a deer.
