Woolacombe

I went and helped out at the Cairn this morning.  We were preparing a crumbling earth bank for a dry stone wall to be built - digging out the earth, and ferrying rocks to the site (slate donated by the group managing the silver mines at Combe Martin).  Not too long a session, as at least one person wanted to get home to celebrate Father's Day - but relatively intense.  (I ache now from the digging!)

Tim didn't join me as he still has a very painful thumb (tendonitis), but he stayed home and did the next stage of his wine making (transferring it for the 'settling' stage).  We pottered a bit for the rest of the day - did a bit of cleaning, etc - then drove over to Woolacombe for a walk on the beach in the late afternoon.  Very lovely it was too.  Back home for some dinner and the England/Serbia Euros match on TV - and a nice stand out on the balcony to watch the sunset.
