Today's the day ....................... for a project

The wildflower meadow at Castledykes, Kirkcudbright is looking an absolute treat just now.

It is part of a project inspired by the late John Alexander Halliday carried out by the Rotary Club, on an area of land down near the Dee Estuary near the site of the medieval castle.  It involved clearance of the ground, fencing surface preparation and eventual planting.

And it will no doubt improve with every passing year .....................
