I spent a lovely sunny morning watching Surrey second eleven against Glamorgan at the LSE sports ground, which is a short walk from my flat. The visitors won the toss and chose to field. The main shot is of skipper Billy Root (Joe's brother) handing the shiny new ball to quick bowler Harry Podmore, who did pick up the wicket of Surrey captain Ben Geddes, but not as a result of the long and loud appeal in the extra!
