Ladybird, ladybird
Today I was working in the grand dining room and the yellow drawing room. Both beautiful rooms. There weren't many visitors as most people took the opportunity to go to the gardens and the farm. They were taking advantage of a really hot, sunny day.
But the visitors I did have were curious to know why there were toy ladybirds around the dining room...on plates, dishes and in fruit bowls. They didn't realise they were part of a children's quiz. "Spot the bug".. different bugs and insects in each room that might cause damage. The children had a short worksheet to tick their answers. Sadly very few young children were visiting today. But in spite of there not being large numbers visiting I enjoyed having longer to talk to some of the adults.
