(167) The Train Now Arriving....

....is 50 years late.

That's how long it has been since the town of Leven was served by a passenger railway. This was rectified on the 2nd June when the new Levenmouth railway opened to reconnect the area to the east coast main line. A journey to Edinburgh by train now takes about an hour.

I was just a trainspotter today though as I was out on the bike making the most of the beautiful morning. I had the flying camera with me so took some aerial footage as well as some of the action from platform level. The results can be seen here, on YouTube.
