Bright And Cheerful

………. I definitely needed something to cheer me up and this did the trick ;-)

I took myself off to a large shopping centre some distance away as I wanted to try out a new mattress and try on a pair of sandals that I’ve seen online in a particular large department store. It turned out to be a complete waste of time - the mattress I was interested in wasn’t on display ( in fact it wasn’t on display in any of their stores nationwide) and the sandals are apparently only available online. I have to admit to being rather surprised at both of these things …….. how can you possibly choose a mattress without trying it ( it was their own brand, so I can’t try it anywhere else ) and I find buying shoes really difficult especially online, so I’m not sure whether to take the plunge or not.
Stores complain that people shop online rather than visit and browse but if the things are not there for people to try, then they have no other option, humph :-/
