Uluṟu-Yulara
It was a bit surreal driving into the coach parking area for the sunset view of Uluṟu this evening. Drivers angle-parked their buses, tourists fanned out into the viewing area, others wandered up a nearby sand dune, drinks and nibbles were laid out. Local high school kids wandered from group to group conducting a visitor survey. Everyone I overheard gave Tourism as the reason for their visit.
This was the view heading back to Yulara, the nearby resort town where we’re staying.
Extras: Kata Tjuṯa, dead juvenile desert oak.
