a lifetime burning

Dragonflight

An early morning start meant that I was practically the only person at Ham Wall first thing this morning.  There was plenty to see too, if you knew where to look.  Not all of it was easily photographable, so I can't bring you the family of Bearded Tits (too far away for a decent photo).

As it is Tiny Tuesday I've given you a four spotted chaser coming into land as the main. It's not really on theme - it's definitely not a canine of any description.  This was an exercise in trying to get the wings sharp with a backlight behind the insect, but enough light on the dragon's underparts to show the detail.

Apologies to those of you who were unpleasantly surprised by yesterday's spider.  Hopefully the two extras of the early morning Marsh Harrier and the Sedge Wabler will make up for it.
