Menhir hunting
I know that there is a standing stone on one of the hills to the east of the Iron Age hillfort on top of Caer Caradoc (Chapel Lawn) and set off this morning on another walk to find it. The spaniel's walking limit now is somewhere between two and three hours so, after ninety minutes we had to turn round and head for home without success. I did however find this lovely little valley between Bucknell Hill and Hopton Titterhill with a view towards Caer Caradoc, the unwooded hilltop on the right.
