View of Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club taken from bridge at Wagon Lane as Bus Pass Walkers passed by - the club house has been the venue for social occasions I’ve attended - during Covid - when rules allowed - the Community Choir held practices in a marquee erected in the grounds - and where now 15yo grandson first started *playing* rugby at the age of five
For some reason two different buses were caught by the walkers - those on the 619 discovered the driver couldn’t see the bus stop outside the main entrance to St Ives - the intended walk start point - it’s hidden by overgrown foliage - and carried on to Ireland Bridge for them to alight - apparently the driver wasn’t amused when asked - tongue in cheek - if she could reverse up to required bus stop:) - the K4 I caught did stop there and I alighted - ended up walking to Ireland Bridge to join the others - so walk start point changed - took in River Aiire footpath from there to Myrtle Park to join Beckfoot Lane - and walk along the canal for refreshments in Bingley where we were joined by K - in my view it’s a good job there’s always a Plan B
