Roll With It

Day Of Two Halves

The afternoon was definitely better than the morning.
The morning started with confirmation that my little VW Polo is off to the “big scrapyard in the sky”, its emissions are off the scale, not the CO2 type but with hydrocarbons, so that will mean the piston rings are likely gone and as with all modern vehicles the cost of a strip and rebuild far outweighs the value of the car.
I still have a week before the MOT expires, time to start looking for an economical replacement.

So a late start at the rugby club where work inside is progressing well, outside not so, the hoses should have been here today, now arriving tomorrow.

An early finish to fit in a coffee or two before the Epic evening row, thoroughly enjoyable as always. The moment we got alongside I headed home, in the Polo, to pick up Paddy so Sam could head off and returned to the boatyard for the Great River Race meeting.

The Great River Race is on September 21st this year, Epic is to enter two gigs in the London River Marathon and tonight’s news was that having completed the event last year I was to be Lead Cox in one of this years gigs.
Time to get down to some serious training.
