Coventry

Coventry is in the historical county of Warwickshire, so in that sense, I’ve achieved my goal of visiting it using my bus pass. My route took me from home into Sheffield then on to Chesterfield, Derby and Leicester before the final leg for today. I had a bit of a look round. It looks like a nice city but some of it is overshadowed by unattractive high-rise buildings. It would have been remiss of me not to have a look at the cathedral. It was closed by the time I got there but I could still admire the architecture and the ghostly ruins of the old one, reminiscent of the Gedächtniskirche in Berlin. I’ll be seeing more of Warwickshire tomorrow.
