Miltonrigg Woods

Yesterday, in our Fathers' Day Zoom with The Girls, The Man was told they had sent a donation to The Woodland Trust in his name. (Anyone who has met him knows he doesn't need a bottle of aftershave!) The wood they had selected was Miltonrigg, near Brampton.

As it happened, we needed to go up to Brampton to collect our strimmer from the repairer, who didn't even charge us for the job as he said the fault shouldn't have happened even though it was out of guarantee since he sold us it.

We had a nice wander through the woods and a picnic in the car park. After that we went back to Tarn Road Nurseries, where we had been last week. The nice young owner had shown an interest in our photography and said he would appreciate photos.....

So! Here am I, retired, but still wanting to help people where I can. I took photos of all his flowers and will edit them soon and let him have them. There is also a cafe on the site that served us the largest slices of coffee cake ever!
