Shaped by Tiree Time and Tide...

We spent some happy hours last week picking up sea glass on Tiree. I now find there is an American Sea Glass Association and an annual show and even an award for 'Shard of the Year.' But like many things there is more to it than meets the eye.

The colour of the sea glass is determined by it's original source and there are common and rarer colours. We found some lovely pieces of pottery too... it does make you wonder about it's history and the journey it's made.
