I finished piecing the hexagons a few weeks ago then made a backing and took it all to the clever quilting lady Donna, who quilts it all on her long arm machine with skill and suitable design, sandwiching a snuggly batting in between top and backing. Back home to me, where I trim the edges, make a binding (about 8 metres for this one), apply it by machine to the top, then fold it over to the back and hand stitch it in place. I have the last enjoyable task half completed , then will make a "makers" label to stitch to the backing. All relaxing fun.
