I was up at first light this morning, around 6 am here in southern Spain, to go for a hike in the hills. In the extra you will see what I saw from the patio with my cup of coffee. 

It was a spectacularly beautiful sky and I learned later listening to the weather forecast on national radio that this sky is known as the DANA phenomenon (Spanish acronym for depresión aislada en niveles altos, meaning upper-level isolated atmospheric depression). It occurs normally in late summer due to convective storms generated by the existence of cool air in the upper layers of the atmosphere, combined with warm winds coming from the Mediterranean sea.

The main was taken at around 8:30 am as I was walking back towards home. Lovely and cool at around 25C today.
