Picnic

Cal and I went down to Hythe to score a Waitrose picnic. The plan then was to set up on the beach, I've got the folding chairs & table in the boot, but it was really too windy. So, we parked up at High Knocke (check the geotag) and enjoyed the picnic in the car. This shot is the view standing outside the car, it was similar from inside but from lower down so not as photogenic. 

Then we went around to Dungeness and had a walk. I showed Cal the remains of the platform from the old mainline station and then we walked down to the memorial for two Polish spitfire pilots who died in separate raids during 1941 - photo in the extras. The other extras show the car in picnic mode - the roof was up because we were mobbed by gulls, you can see some on the wall - and the line of posts that mark the old mainline track-bed as it heads inland.
