Langside Battlefield Monument

This was our finishing point on the Glasgow Ramblers Mary Queen of Scots Trail where we were accompanied by Catherine Vost, a MQoS scholar, almost 2 hours later than I had planned. The commentary was excellent and we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine at Crookston Castle listening to Catherine tellling the story of Mary Stuart’s early dramatic life, and then later hearing about her colossal defeat at Langside.

Time for tea and cake afterwards and home to sort various bits and pieces and start to get organised for next week.
