I’m the bomb
I installed a screen protector with no dust and no bubbles.
I’m the bomb.
It is the little things. I’ve never installed a screen protector this well before. I’ve generally given up and hired someone because I get a little OCD and hate seeing the error for the life of the device but I can only hire someone for phones and iPads. This time I
A) installed on a brand new device
B) took a shower first
C) watched a great YouTube video with much better instructions than the screen protector’s video
Like I said, it is the little things.
I am replacing an old computer that I got about seven years ago. The screen is literally detaching from the housing, bowing, cracking so it can bow. You can look behind the screen and see the inside of the computer. Amazingly, it still functions, but it probably won’t for long and I definitely can’t take it outside and it scared me to travel with it.
Today was Juneteenth, a holiday to celebrate the end of slavery in the US. It is a pretty new federal holiday.
Not a little thing - whales were rescued in Ukraine. Nice seque?
There were two beluga whales in Kharkiv in a dolphinarium. In the most complex marine mammal rescue ever they were taken to an aquarium in Spain. They had to go because Russia is trashing the electric grid and they can’t keep the water at the right temperature range. They are also having trouble feeding them enough. It took an elite expert in beluga whales living in Kyiv, Olga Shpak. 36-hours. More than 1,900 miles. Transport crates that were not designed for that. A specific cargo plane equipped with an interior crane. Temperature requirements. Oceanogràfic Valencia is the largest aquarium in Europe and the only one that has belugas. It is the closest to Ukraine.
