Worm Cafe
Ross brought some barley in to do a germination test. The leftover barley I threw into the worm farms. It has certainly germinated!
That got me thinking. I could produce a bulk of organic matter by germinating seeds. It won’t survive in the worm farm but ultimately will be eaten by the worms and turned into worm castings.
I decided to leave the lids off to allow some light in for photosynthesis. It might make even better worm food if allowed to green up a bit.
Then I looked up “photosynthesis” for a refresher. Incidentally I learned that scientists are harnessing carbon negative electricity from photosynthesising algae.
Also the arctic tundra is greening. Apparently the warming tundra is emitting long locked up carbon. And the increasing green growth is absorbing the carbon.
