Medieval "Andy Murray"

I noticed this stone carving at Newbattle Abbey lying at the bottom of the old abbey wall.   Is it one of Andy Murray's ancestors?!   It  reminded me of a tennis player with a racquet and I wonder if it represents the tennis like game that medieval monks used to play. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything about the stone image.  Newbattle Abbey near Dalkeith was founded in 1140 as a Cistercian monastery and there are still a few remains within the house that was later built on the site as the seat of the Marquis of Lothian family.  It was bequeathed in 1937 to become an adult residential college and the grounds are interesting to walk through especially among the old woodland beside the South Esk River on a hot summer day.
