Notting Hill
Emily and I went to the London house of the major novelist whose book we are adapting. It’s in Notting Hill. Walking round the area on a sunny day was like being in a film, so many tourists, young Chinese often, looking for doors to instagram themselves in front off. I kept wondering why we were passing so many elaborately dressed young women.
The meeting was successful and fun and ended with him opening a bottle of champagne to toast the writer’s first script.
After starting chilly the day warmed up to something approaching summer so the train journey home with a pack of M&S salad was almost picnic like. Plus the train arrived on time so that helped. I got in around 10 though so no TV and chatted a bit with V before going to bed.
