We went to see Linton Kwesi Johnson at Metronome as part of Nottingham Poetry Festival and he was absolutely great, even without music. LKJ still has a commanding voice - despite a cough caused by "the autumnal weather" - and provided really interesting context to those radical poems from the 70's and 80's, as well as some equally compelling more recent works. I 'liberated' this poster from the window of the former Gregg's in Mapperley and I definitely think the tape marks add a little something...
