Rome ….

Up early for a 8pm disembarking.
Coach to Rome.
This was a ”10hour Rome on your own” trip.
Given an A3 map of Rome and points of interest given to us by our guide.
Dropped off at the top of Rome at the People’s place - to meet back at 4:30pm.

Started off with the Spanish Steps.
Next stop, the Trevi Fountain (very busy).
Next stop, although took a while as I had got “lost” and we ended un going round in circles, ended up at the Pantheon. Queue too long to go in - so we stopped at an eatery for lunch and drink. Fed up with the touters interrupting our lunch wanting us to buy their wares - scarves, toys, plus women begging for money.
Walked back then to the meeting place.
A hot day - about 31 degrees.
We both knew we had walked a lot of steps, feet aching, back aching.
Coach was late getting to us (because of the traffic in Rome), which meant we were late getting back on the ship - last trip back, boat waiting for us (whoops).
