Perpendicular and Parallel

Here's a gravel road we don't often walk on, we usually stick pretty close to the tracks. The road runs along the Burlington Northern line that crosses the Willamette River. The dark horizontal bar in the upper right corner is the Willamette Blvd. bridge that crosses over the cut made to allow the BN trains to stay on river level. It's quiet down here so you can hear  all the birds, but it's also busy with trains.
