Duart castle

We packed up this morning and headed for home.on the way to the ferry we stopped at Duart Castle . I have never climbed so many steps. Rope handles on both sides of the spiral  staircase but it was worth it in the end.  In the Great Hall a large glass case full of silver and cases of medals. Up to the next floor and it was the bedroom . Four poster bed cover in beautiful floral designed cover and curtains, even a sofa. The next floor  was all about family heritage of the Clan MacLean. Then up a few more steps and out on to the roof. Lucky  for us it was a beautiful day with blue skies and deep blue seas. We could see all the hills  Ben Nevis and Ben Cruachan. It was wonderful and you would get no better scenery  in the world.
